丁基防水嵌縫膠是現場成型材料，在施工現場完成注膠工作，施工現場的環境、作業條件較差，丁基防水嵌縫膠固化所需要的外部條件不容易滿足，氣候、環境、作業條件等因素對固化質量的影響很大。丁基防水嵌縫膠必須保存在溫度為5℃一30℃之間的室內環境，不能保存在太陽直射或太過潮濕的地方。丁基防水嵌縫膠除了必須在規定有效期內使用外，環境條件的保證、接縫表面的清潔方式、使用清潔溶劑的類型選擇是丁基防水嵌縫膠施工質量的基礎。
丁基防水嵌縫膠施工溫度。受條件的限制，只有單組分丁基防水嵌縫膠適用于現場施工。單組分丁基防水嵌縫膠的固化是吸收空氣中的水蒸氣后進行水解交聯反應，由外至內緩慢固化，固化速度主要取決于溫度、濕度和水蒸氣的滲透速度。按GB 16776建筑用丁基防水嵌縫膠需要養護21 d才能達到最大粘結強度，丁基防水嵌縫膠在未完全固化時，彈性恢復率、定伸粘結性均未達到標準要求的范圍。因此，丁基防水嵌縫膠施工時要求表面干燥、清潔，環境溫度適中，防止外界環境因素變化太大，引起表面外觀不平整，甚至引起粘結破壞現象。www.kubee.cn
